Description
Ubiquiti UACC-PoE++-10G 10G PoE++ Adapter (60W)
Product Details
The Ubiquiti 10G PoE++ Adapter is described by Ubiquiti as an adapter that can power UniFi PoE++ devices, reduce dependency on PoE switch power, and provide a Multi-Gigabit LAN connection. It delivers up to 60 W.
It exists for the situation every installer knows: one device on the network wants far more power than the rest, and upgrading the whole switch to feed it makes no sense. This injector sits between the switch port and that device and supplies the power itself. It covers 802.3af at 15.4 W, 802.3at at 30 W and 802.3bt Type 3 at 60 W, with an output of 54 V DC at 1.12 A over all four pairs, so it will run the hungrier UniFi access points — the options are the E7 family, the E7 Campus and Audience models and the U7 Pro XG and XGS among the compatible devices.
Protection is built in rather than bolted on: surge, peak pulse and overcurrent protection on both sides, 1500 A maximum surge discharge on the power side and 36 A peak pulse on the data side, with clamping at 11 V on data and 60 V on power and a response time under a nanosecond. Efficiency is above 88 per cent. The data connectors are shielded RJ45 sockets, there is a status LED, and the AC cable with earth ground is included. One thing to be certain about: this is the 60 W Type 3 model. If the device needs 90 W, the part is the separate 10G PoE+++ adapter, not this one.
