Description

Ubiquiti U7-Pro-XG-Tri-Wall Band Wi-Fi 7 IEEE 802.11n/ac/ax/be/v/r/k 5.80 Gbit/s Wireless Access Point

Product Details

The Ubiquiti Access Point U7 Pro XG Wall is described by Ubiquiti as a “wall-mounted 6 GHz-ready WiFi 7 AP with 1/2.5/5/10 GbE support”. Ubiquiti's own part number is U7-Pro-XG-Wall; the -US suffix is the regional order code used by distributors for the same product.

It is a tri-radio access point — 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, 2 x 2 on each band for six spatial streams — in a 155 by 108 mm body only 33.5 mm deep, meant to sit on the wall of the room it serves rather than on the ceiling of the corridor outside it. Ubiquiti rates it for 140 m² and 300-plus clients, with peak rates of 5.8 Gbps on 6 GHz, 4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, and Multi-Link Operation for lower latency across bands. Channel bandwidths run to EHT 320 MHz. Optional paintable covers are available if it needs to disappear into the decor.

Two points that catch people out. The single RJ45 is a 10 GbE multi-speed uplink that also runs at 1, 2.5 and 5 Gbps — but it is the only port, and Ubiquiti marks the built-in switch row as not present, so there are no downlink ports for wired devices and no PoE passthrough. This is not a replacement for a desk switch. And it takes PoE+ at up to 22 W with no injector included, so the switch port has to be PoE+, not plain PoE. It is an indoor unit with no weatherproofing rating, operating from -30 to 40 °C, and it wants UniFi Network 10.0 or later.
