Product Details
The TOA TS-D1000-EX is the digital conference system's dedicated unit “for extending the cable distance of the system”. One unit goes into a wiring line at the end of a daisy chain, between a master or sub control unit and the conference units, and buys another 50 m of shielded CAT5e.
It is the part that decides whether a large room or a split venue is wireable at all. The system's cable budget is 50 m from a control unit to the last seat in a chain; where the seats are further away than that, the extension unit is the answer rather than re-planning the layout.
It runs from its own AC adapter at 25 W or less, so it needs a power outlet wherever it lands. The case is white ABS, 150 g, unlike the black units it sits between — worth knowing if it will be visible.
