Product Details
The TOA TS-918 is “an interface necessary for incorporating the Wired conference unit(s) in the conference system”. Without one, a TS-910 system is infrared only. The TS-910 is the central unit of TOA's integrated conference system, and its distinguishing feature is that it runs wired and infrared conference units together on one system rather than forcing a choice between them.
It connects to the TS-910 central unit on coaxial cable through a BNC jack, and out to the bridge units on Category 5 cable through RJ45. Each expansion unit carries up to 24 wired conference units, and a TS-910 accepts four of them.
It also supplies the 24 V DC that the TS-911 and TS-912 wired units and the TS-919B1 and TS-919B4 bridge units run on — so the expansion unit is the power source for the whole wired branch, not just its data path. It is a 1U chassis for an EIA standard rack.
