The TOA TS-907 is the infrared transmitter/receiver of the infrared conference system, “designed for high ceiling applications”. It is the link between the central unit and the cordless conference units: audio and control travel to and from the table as infrared light rather than over cable.
Coverage is a radius of approximately 6 m (19.69 ft) at a ceiling height of 5 to 7 m, with a 90° vertical acceptance and emission angle and full 360° horizontally. That ceiling range is the specification to check first — it is what separates the TS-907 from the TS-905, and a unit chosen for the wrong ceiling height leaves dead spots on the table.
It mounts to a ceiling, to a wall, or onto a microphone stand, which makes it practical for a temporary installation as well as a fixed one. Connection to the central unit is a single BNC coaxial run that also carries its 24 V DC. It works with the TS-800UL, TS-900UL, TS-820 and TS-920RC central units.
