The TOA HY-CN1B-WP joins two HX-5 series speakers into a single taller array.
The purpose is low-frequency directivity. A longer array controls its pattern further down the frequency range, which is what gives clearer, longer-throw sound in spaces with long reverberation times or high background noise — a sports hall, a station concourse, a factory floor. It is a bar-bracket kit, not a mount: the pair still needs a wall, ceiling or rigging bracket of its own.
Stainless steel, for outdoor and under-eave positions. TOA’s own caution applies to every stainless bracket in this range: avoid positions close to the seashore, or inside poorly ventilated swimming pool halls. Stainless steel corrodes in those atmospheres, and a corroded bracket eventually drops the speaker. It pairs with the weather-resistant speakers — HX-5B-WP.
