The Klipsch RP-504C II is the large center channel of the Reference Premiere II line: quad 5.25" Cerametallic woofers flanking the horn, 96dB sensitivity and 150W / 600W power handling. It is built to match RP-8060FA II and RP-6000F II towers and to hold dialogue clear at reference level.
A 90° x 90° silicon composite hybrid Tractrix horn sits at the center of the design. Horn loading raises efficiency and focuses high frequencies toward the listening position, while the phase plug and compression-molded silicon face keep the response smooth. The second-generation horn is larger than the original Reference Premiere, widening the soundstage and improving directivity.
Behind the horn is Klipsch's Linear Travel Suspension titanium diaphragm tweeter. LTS minimizes distortion by keeping the diaphragm's motion linear through its travel — a hallmark of every Reference line Klipsch has built.
A rear-firing Tractrix port extends low-frequency output to 50Hz, so the center channel does not thin out on male voices or effects that cross between channels. Cabinets are internally braced MDF in scratch-resistant ebony vinyl with satin-painted baffles. The grille is magnetically attached and fully removable, so the speaker moves between showpiece and discreet without hardware on the baffle.
