The RP-240D is part of the Reference Premiere Designer on-wall family: the sound of the Reference Premiere box speakers in a slim on-wall cabinet only 2.4" deep. It is the answer for a home theatre or media room where floor space is the constraint rather than the budget.

A 1" titanium dome LTS tweeter on a 90° x 90° Tractrix horn sits between dual 3.5" spun-copper Cerametallic woofers. The Linear Travel Suspension is the same tweeter used in the Reference Premiere box line; the Tractrix horn focuses high frequencies toward the listening area rather than scattering them into the room.

It mounts vertically or horizontally via dual four-way keyholes that sit it tight to the wall, and the included glass base turns it into a table-top or bookshelf speaker where wall mounting is not an option — useful for a center channel sitting on a credenza. A wrap-around magnetic grille attaches without visible hardware, and the matte black finish is intended to disappear against contemporary interiors and electronics.
