The AWR-650-SM is Klipsch's outdoor rock speaker: a weatherized two-way loudspeaker in a cast enclosure shaped and finished to disappear into a garden bed rather than announce itself from one. For its price it delivers a notably full-bodied bass response.
It is a true two-way design using a 6.5" dual voice coil polymer woofer and dual 3/4" polymer dome tweeters with neodymium magnets. The dual tweeter arrangement lets a single rock reproduce both left and right channels with precision — useful where one speaker has to cover a patio on its own. It can also be wired for mono where several units are spread across a larger area for even coverage.
The enclosure is UV-resistant fiberglass composite, bass-reflex loaded through a 45° side-firing port. This is the granite finish — the darker, grey-toned rock.
