Description
Klipsch R-50C Black, Each
Product Details
The Klipsch R-50C is a sealed center channel with dual 5.25" spun-copper IMG woofers. The sealed enclosure gives tighter, more predictable response than a ported center — particularly when the speaker has to sit inside a media cabinet where a port would be loaded unevenly.
A 1" aluminum LTS tweeter sits on a 90° x 90° square Tractrix horn. Horn loading raises efficiency and directs high frequencies toward the listening area rather than scattering them off walls and ceiling, which is what gives Klipsch Reference speakers their characteristic clarity at low amplifier power.
Spun-copper Injection Molded Graphite (IMG) woofers are light and rigid, keeping cone break-up out of the passband for low distortion. The copper finish is Klipsch's visual signature and is visible with the grille removed. The cabinet is MDF in scratch-resistant black textured wood-grain vinyl, with a removable magnetic grille and gold-plated binding posts.
