The Klipsch R-121SW is a 12" powered subwoofer with an all-digital 200W RMS (400W peak) amplifier, reaching 28Hz with 118dB of maximum output. The larger driver and more powerful amplifier make it the sensible match for Reference floorstanders and larger rooms than the R-101SW covers.
The high-excursion spun-copper woofer is bass-reflex loaded through a rear-firing port. Controls for volume, low-pass frequency and 0/180 phase are on the amplifier plate, with auto power-on so the subwoofer sleeps when the system is off.
Line-level / LFE RCA inputs connect to any AV receiver subwoofer output.
