The Klipsch PRO-800SW is an 8" in-wall subwoofer built around an unusual bandpass design: the enclosure is hidden in the wall or ceiling cavity and vents into the room through a flexible port tube, so the only visible opening is a 4.25" round or square grille rather than a full-size driver cutout.
That matters for placement. Because the vent is a tube, the cabinet does not have to sit directly behind the grille — it can be positioned where there is room and the port routed to where the opening belongs. A dual voice coil long-throw Cerametallic woofer in a sealed MDF cabinet delivers 38Hz – 125Hz and 103dB at 70Hz.
This is a passive subwoofer and requires external amplification; impedance is 2 x 8 ohm. A PRO-800SW Vent Boot Kit is available separately.
