Description
Klipsch PRO-12SW-LS Brown, Each
Product Details
The Klipsch PRO-12SW-LS is a 12" full-burial landscape subwoofer — the cabinet is buried completely, leaving only a low metallic-brown canopy visible at ground level. It reaches 34Hz, which is genuine subwoofer extension rather than the upper-bass fill most outdoor systems settle for.
The dual voice coil design allows transformerless 70V operation at 300W. Transformers severely limit a subwoofer's low-frequency capability, so running transformerless is what lets this deliver real bass on a distributed line. It also runs 8 ohm stereo or 4 ohm mono for conventional low-impedance installs. Klipsch Professional landscape products run on a 70V constant-voltage line, the standard for distributed outdoor systems where one amplifier feeds many speakers over long cable runs.
The canopy is rustproof UV-resistant aluminum and the buried cabinet is heavy-duty high-impact polyethylene. Both are paintable, so the visible canopy can be finished to match hardscape or planting.
