The Klipsch PRO-1200SW is a 12" in-wall subwoofer that installs into a standard 16" on-centre stud bay and disappears behind the drywall. Drywall is installed over the front face of the cabinet with a 14.1" x 14.1" cutout exposing the driver, so nothing protrudes into the room but a flat, paintable magnetic grille.

A 12" long-throw Cerametallic woofer with reverse-rolled surround delivers 21Hz – 100Hz +/- 3dB and 112dB at 70Hz. The sealed MDF enclosure is what separates this from an in-wall driver firing into a stud cavity: it gives accurate, controlled output and isolates sound from the neighbouring room instead of letting the wall structure become an uncontrolled enclosure.

This is a passive subwoofer and requires external amplification. Klipsch KDA series DSP amplifiers include presets designed specifically for the PRO-1200SW, with EQ and limiter settings set by Klipsch engineers; the quoted frequency range and maximum output are measured with that preset applied.
