The Klipsch PRO-10SW-RK is a 10" rock subwoofer — a full-size outdoor subwoofer in a cabinet shaped and finished to disappear into landscaping. The rock form is not only cosmetic: it allows the large internal volume needed for low extension and high output, which a compact buried enclosure cannot provide.
The dual voice coil woofer is designed for transformerless 70V operation. Transformers severely limit a subwoofer's low-frequency capability, so this design gives distributed commercial and large residential systems real bass on a 70V line. It also runs 8 ohm stereo or 4 ohm mono for conventional low-impedance installations.
The cabinet is rustproof UV-treated fiberglass with an attached 4-conductor direct-burial wire — no impedance selector switch, which is the usual point of water ingress on outdoor subwoofers. IP45 rated and lab certified for year-round outdoor use.
