The Klipsch PRO-1000SW is a 10" in-wall subwoofer that fits a standard 16" on-center stud bay, giving genuine subwoofer output with nothing visible but a flat, paintable grille. Installation is direct into the stud bay using the included wood screws, for retrofit or new construction.
A 10" long-throw Cerametallic woofer with reverse-rolled surround delivers 24Hz – 100Hz +/- 3dB and 109dB at 70Hz from a sealed MDF enclosure. The MDF box is what makes this a real subwoofer rather than an in-wall driver: it gives controlled, accurate output and isolates sound from the neighboring room instead of using the wall cavity as an uncontrolled enclosure.
This is a passive subwoofer and requires external amplification. Klipsch KDA series DSP amplifiers include presets designed specifically for the PRO-1000SW with optimized EQ and limiter settings.
