Product Details
The IC-400/525-T mud ring kit adds mounting flexibility to the Klipsch IC-400-T and IC-525-T 70-volt in-ceiling speakers when they are installed in drywall. These are pre-construction brackets: they attach to the ceiling joists before the Sheetrock goes up, fixing speaker placement in advance and telling the drywall contractor exactly where the through-hole belongs.
Construction is durable powder-coated steel, so the bracket holds its shape through the rest of the build and keeps the speaker aperture true once the ceiling is finished.
Doing the placement at the framing stage is the difference between a run of ceiling speakers that lines up with the lighting and one that does not — and it removes the guesswork from cutting a finished ceiling.
