Socket (type B) Jeweller is a smart plug for the North American NEMA 5-15 outlet. It switches whatever is plugged into it from the Ajax apps, and reports how much power that load is drawing.
The consumption monitor is the part that earns its place. A circuit's usage becomes visible rather than guessed at, and an unexpected reading — a heater left on, a compressor cycling too often — shows up as data. Protections cut the load on overcurrent outside 1–15 A, on voltage outside 92–132 V~, and on internal temperature above 167 °F.
It runs in bistable or pulse mode, with pulse length adjustable from 1 to 255 seconds and the contact set normally open or normally closed. Automation scenarios drive it from arming and disarming, a schedule, an alarm or a button press. Rated 15 A and up to 1.8 kW, Class I with a grounding terminal. Jeweller is Ajax's own two-way radio protocol: encrypted with a dynamic key, frequency-hopping to ride out interference, and continuously polled so a lost device is flagged within 36 seconds rather than going quiet unnoticed. Supplied in the black finish; the same socket in white is stocked as 88912.34. WH3.
