Hub 2 Plus Jeweller is the control panel at the centre of an Ajax system. It manages every connected device, talks to the user and the monitoring station, and supports alarm photo verification from up to 200 MotionCam detectors — delivering the first image in about 9 seconds.
Four communication channels are what set this hub apart: Ethernet, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and two micro-SIM slots supporting 2G, 3G and LTE. The hub switches between them automatically by priority, so a cut cable or a failed provider does not take the alarm path down with it. Capacity is up to 200 wireless devices, 200 users, 25 security groups, 50 rooms and 64 automation scenarios, with Jeweller radio reaching 6,500 ft in open space.
It runs OS Malevich, Ajax's own real-time operating system, with a processor 4.5× faster than Hub 2 and eight times the flash memory, and receives over-the-air updates several times a year. A Li-ion backup battery holds the system up for around 15 hours of a blackout on SIM alone. The SmartBracket panel mounts the hub without disassembling the enclosure, and setup is plugging in power and the network, inserting the SIM and scanning a QR code. Everything after that — devices, users, groups, scenarios — is configured from the Ajax apps for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows. Supplied in the black finish.
