MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) Jeweller is the photo-on-demand version of the outdoor detector. It does everything the standard MotionCam Outdoor does — two PIR sensors, 90° coverage to 49 ft, photo series on alarm — and adds the ability to request a picture whenever you want one.
PhOD stands for Photo on Demand. Rather than waiting for an alarm, the camera can be triggered from the app, by a scenario, on a schedule, or on arming and disarming. That turns a perimeter detector into a way of checking a yard, a loading bay or a side gate at will, without adding a separate camera. Access is permission-based, so who may request a photo is controlled rather than assumed.
The detector carries the full anti-sabotage set for outdoor duty: masking sensors that react to hindering, covering and painting the lens, a tamper alarm, and an IP56 housing rated from −13 °F to 140 °F. Photos travel on Wings, a second radio channel dedicated to image transfer, so pictures never delay an alarm and an alarm never delays a picture.
