MotionProtect Plus Jeweller is a wireless IR motion detector with an additional K-band microwave sensor that activates only when the PIR sensor is triggered. The two technologies confirm each other, which is what keeps detection accurate in rooms with complex thermal interference — air conditioners, fireplaces, heaters and sunlit surfaces.
Motion is detected at up to 39 ft with an 88.5° horizontal angle, at movement speeds from 1 to 6.6 ft/s, across three adjustable sensitivity levels. Pet immunity covers animals up to 44 lb in weight and 1.6 ft in height. The pre-installed CR123A battery gives up to 5 years of operation, and Jeweller radio reaches up to 3,900 ft in open space.
The K-band (24 GHz) microwave sensor is more energy-efficient and more precise than the X-band sensors used in comparable detectors, which is why the added confirmation stage costs so little battery life. The SmartBracket panel lets an installer mount the device on the wall without disassembling the enclosure, and the detector pairs with the hub by scanning a QR code. Correct installation at a height of 2.4 m with the lens perpendicular to the likely intrusion path is what delivers the stated detection pattern and pet immunity. It can be reconfigured remotely from the Ajax apps without a site visit. Supplied in the white finish. The same device in black is stocked as 42827.02.BL3.
