MotionProtect Outdoor Jeweller is a wireless outdoor motion detector with an advanced anti-masking system and pet immunity. Detecting an intruder in the yard rather than in the hallway is what turns an alarm into a deterrent, and outdoors is where false alarms have always been the hard problem.
Two PIR sensors cover 10–49 ft across a 90° horizontal angle at movement speeds from 1 to 6.6 ft/s, with three sensitivity levels. Pet immunity works by height rather than weight, ignoring animals up to 2.6 ft tall. The IP55 enclosure operates from −13 °F to 140 °F. Jeweller radio reaches up to 5,600 ft and two pre-installed CR123A batteries last up to 5 years.
The LISA algorithm compares the signals from both PIR sensors in real time using correlation and spectral analysis, which is what separates a person from swaying branches, headlights and sunlit walls. The anti-masking system calibrates itself and reports an obstacle, paint or tape over the sensors within about 2 to 2.5 minutes. An optional 5–28 V DC supply can power it where wiring is available. The SmartBracket panel lets an installer mount the device on the wall without disassembling the enclosure, and the detector pairs with the hub by scanning a QR code. Correct installation at a height of 2.4 m with the lens perpendicular to the likely intrusion path is what delivers the stated detection pattern and pet immunity. It can be reconfigured remotely from the Ajax apps without a site visit.
