MotionProtect Curtain Jeweller is a narrow-beam indoor motion detector that guards windows, doors and individual valuables rather than a whole room. The curtain-shaped detection zone is what lets people move freely inside a protected space while the perimeter stays armed.
An optical system of two PIR sensors and a multifaceted mirror gives a 6° horizontal by 90° vertical detection zone at 19.7–49 ft with Correlation Signal Processing disabled, or 19.7–26 ft with it enabled, at movement speeds from 1.0 to 6.6 ft/s across three sensitivity levels. The pre-installed CR123A battery gives up to 3 years of operation, and Jeweller radio reaches up to 5,550 ft in open space.
Two sensors gather twice the information of a single-element detector, so the device responds whether the intruder is running or moving slowly. Mounted upside down it ignores pets while still covering the opening. An IP54 enclosure suits unheated spaces such as garages. The SmartBracket panel lets an installer mount the device on the wall without disassembling the enclosure, and the detector pairs with the hub by scanning a QR code. Correct installation at a height of 2.4 m with the lens perpendicular to the likely intrusion path is what delivers the stated detection pattern and pet immunity. It can be reconfigured remotely from the Ajax apps without a site visit. Supplied in the white finish. The same device in black is stocked as 42824.36.BL3.
