KeyPad Plus Jeweller is a wireless touch keypad that adds contactless credentials to code entry: Pass cards and Tag key fobs using DESFire technology with 128-bit encryption. A card on a lanyard is faster than a code and harder to shoulder-surf, which matters on a door staff use dozens of times a day.
It holds up to 200 personal access codes, a keypad code, up to 200 duress codes and up to 99 codes for unregistered people, and supports DESFire EV1 and EV2 credentials. Four pre-installed AA batteries last up to 3.5 years and Jeweller radio reaches 5,600 ft in open space.
A built-in panic button raises an alarm from the keypad itself, and a duress code disarms while silently signaling the monitoring station. Three or more wrong entries within a minute lock the keypad for 3 to 180 minutes. The SmartBracket panel lets an installer mount the device on the wall without disassembling the enclosure, and the detector pairs with the hub by scanning a QR code. Correct installation at a height of 2.4 m with the lens perpendicular to the likely intrusion path is what delivers the stated detection pattern and pet immunity. It can be reconfigured remotely from the Ajax apps without a site visit. Supplied in the black finish. The same device in white is stocked as 42816.83.WH3.
