KeyPad Jeweller is a wireless touch keypad for arming and disarming an Ajax system. It mounts by the entrance door so the system can be operated without reaching for a phone, and its indication shows the current security mode, detector faults and loss of communication with the hub.
The capacitive keypad holds up to 200 personal access codes, a keypad code, up to 200 duress codes and up to 99 codes for people not registered in the Ajax system. A functional button can be set to raise an alarm, mute a fire alarm, or do nothing. Four pre-installed AAA batteries last up to 2 years and Jeweller radio reaches 5,500 ft in open space.
A duress code disarms the system while silently signalling the monitoring station — the answer to being forced to open up. Three or more wrong entries lock the keypad for 3 to 180 minutes, which is what stops code guessing. It is EN 50131 Grade 2 and UL/ULC certified. The SmartBracket panel lets an installer mount the device on the wall without disassembling the enclosure, and the detector pairs with the hub by scanning a QR code. Correct installation at a height of 2.4 m with the lens perpendicular to the likely intrusion path is what delivers the stated detection pattern and pet immunity. It can be reconfigured remotely from the Ajax apps without a site visit. Supplied in the black finish. The same device in white is stocked as 42814.12.WH3.
