GlassProtect Jeweller is a wireless glass break detector that guards windows, glazed doors and display cases. It listens for breaking glass rather than watching for movement, so it raises the alarm at the moment of entry rather than after the intruder is already inside.
A sensitive electret microphone covers glass from 1 to 30 ft away across a 180° angle, with three adjustable sensitivity levels. Jeweller radio reaches up to 3,250 ft in open space and the pre-installed CR123A battery lasts up to 7 years.
The DualTone digital algorithm is what keeps barking dogs, traffic and slammed doors from triggering it: the detector must hear the dull low-frequency sound of the impact followed by the ringing high-frequency sound of breaking glass within 1.5 seconds before it reports an alarm. Terminals accept a third-party wired detector with a normally closed (NC) contact. The SmartBracket panel lets an installer mount the device on the wall without disassembling the enclosure, and the detector pairs with the hub by scanning a QR code. Correct installation at a height of 2.4 m with the lens perpendicular to the likely intrusion path is what delivers the stated detection pattern and pet immunity. It can be reconfigured remotely from the Ajax apps without a site visit. Supplied in the white finish. The same device in black is stocked as 42804.05.BL3.
