DoorProtect Plus Jeweller is a wireless opening detector that adds a built-in accelerometer to the reed switch, so it reports not only an opening but also a blow to the door or window and a change in the leaf's angle. That covers the burglar who breaks the glass or levers the frame instead of opening it.
The reed switch sits in a sealed plastic capsule with chatter protection. Shock sensitivity has three adjustable levels with an option to ignore a single isolated impact, and the tilt sensor triggers anywhere from 5° to 25° of movement. Jeweller radio reaches up to 3,900 ft in open space and the pre-installed CR123A battery lasts up to 5 years.
Two magnet sizes ship in the box for narrow and standard frames, and terminals accept a third-party wired detector with a normally closed (NC) contact. Tilt detection makes it the right choice for vaults, display cases, roller shutters and gates, where the threat is the panel being moved rather than opened. The SmartBracket panel lets an installer mount the device on the wall without disassembling the enclosure, and the detector pairs with the hub by scanning a QR code. Correct installation at a height of 2.4 m with the lens perpendicular to the likely intrusion path is what delivers the stated detection pattern and pet immunity. It can be reconfigured remotely from the Ajax apps without a site visit. Supplied in the white finish. The same device in black is stocked as 42799.21.BL3.
