LightCore (1-gang) [120] Jeweller is the relay half of an Ajax LightSwitch — the module that sits in the back box and actually switches the power. It carries the electronics, the radio and the load contacts; the touch panel that the user presses is a separate part.

It needs no neutral wire, which is what lets it replace an existing switch on the original two-wire drop rather than requiring a rewire. It handles up to 500 W of incandescent or 250 W of CFL/LED lighting, with a 20 W minimum load, and the relay is rated beyond 200,000 operations. Ajax LightSwitch is a modular system rather than a single product: a complete switch is a LightCore relay behind the wall plus a touch-sensitive button panel on the face, with a frame added when two or more switches sit together. All three are sold separately.

To make a working switch, pair this with one touch panel — SoloButton (1-gang) [120] for a standalone position, or CenterButton / SideButton [120] when several switches share a frame.
