Description
Klipsch RP-1200SW Black, Each
Product Details
The Klipsch RP-1200SW is a 12" powered subwoofer built around an ultra-long-throw Cerametallic woofer and a 400W RMS (800W peak) Class D amplifier with an analogue preamp stage. It reaches 16.5Hz — below the bottom octave of most music and into the range where film effects are felt rather than heard.
The front-firing Aerofoil slot port is shaped to keep air velocity low at high output, which keeps port noise out of the signal when the subwoofer is working hard. Because the port fires forward, the RP-1200SW can be placed close to a wall without the boundary loading and chuffing that a rear-ported design suffers in the same position.
Dual RCA/LFE line inputs handle standard wired connection, and a WA-2 wireless port accepts the Klipsch WA-2 wireless kit for installations where running a subwoofer cable is impractical.
